Anushka was seen alongside Shahid Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Vir Das, and Meiyang Chang in the 2010 movie "Badmash Company". The film was met with mixed receptions. In the same year, Anushka Sharma appeared in the film "Band Baaja Baaraat' with Ranveer Singh in the role of a middle-class Punjabi girl who begins her own wedding planning business. The film received excellent reviews and was widely regarded as a sleeper to be a success. Anushka's contract to make three movies under Yash Raj Films was completed with Band Baaja Baaraat.
